We realized that each of these referrals was the most accurate feedback we could hope for – a signal that we did a good job, good enough so that someone else would put their reputation on the line by making a referral. So, instead of asking for feedback, we shifted to nurturing not only our current client relationships, but also our referrals.
Then, and now, we never take a referral for granted. Whether or not we can accept their case, each person who is referred receives the same red carpet treatment. It all starts with “Hi, I was referred to you by…”
